Connie Dawson Armentrout, 63, of Stanford, KY passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at home. Born May 17, 1954 in Danville, KY to Imogene Dawson of Stanford, KY and the late Donald S. Dawson, she worked as a legal secretary for the Department of Public Advocacy for 27 years, and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church where she poured her heart into the children's ministry programs. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 21 years, Don Armentrout of Stanford, KY; two sons, Brandon Curlis (Sandra) of Stanford, KY, and Barrett Curlis (Niki) of Centerville, OH; one daughter, Brooke Hazlett (Billy Jack) of Stanford, KY; one brother, Stewart Dawson (Patricia) of Lexington, KY; one sister, Mary Beth Hart (Ewing) of Stanford, KY; seven grandchildren, Olivia Coffey, Zachary Hazlett, Tate Curlis, Emma Hazlett, Reed Curlis, Tripp Curlis, and Rhett Curlis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 5-8pm at Freedom Baptist Church in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the church with Reverends Stewart Dawson, Jeremy Pope, and Larry Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Casket bearers will be: Matthew Dawson, Ryan Dawson, Jeremy Bach, Clayton Hart, Colin Hart, Gary Padgett, and Brad Padgett. Honorary bearers are: Shonna Hart, Haley Hart, Pam Johnson, Susan Brown, Betty Gover Lynn, Connie Padgett, Barbara Guinn, Patrice Todd, and Joann Atwood. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to Freedom Baptist Church Heart Shapers Sunday School Class (3505 US HWY 27 N., Stanford, KY 40484) and/or Galilean Children’s Home (712 South Fork Church Road, Liberty, KY 42539).
