Kelly Freeman Hodge, 87, of McKinney died on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Stanford Health & Rehab Center. Born January 2, 1930 in South Fork, KY to the late Jack and Catherine Hodge, he was a farmer and a family man who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and sitting on the front porch drinking coffee. He is survived by his wife of 67 years; Alta Irene Hodge, three daughters; Sandy Pullum (Wayne), Violet Hodge (Richard) all of Hustonville, KY, and Gladys Snow of Middleburg, KY, six sons; Bobby, Joey, Ronney (Gloria), and Herbert (Renda) Hodge, all of McKinney, KY, James (Marchell) and Clay Hodge of Crab Orchard, KY, three grandchildren whom he raised as his own children; Amanda, Johnnie, and Samantha, seventeen other grandchildren, forty five great-grandchildren, and twenty one great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons; Freeman and Johnnie Hodge, two grandchildren; Mary Smith and Justin Snow, one great-granddaughter; Madaline Reynolds, and his brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5-9pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Highland, KY. Casket bearers will be: Travis Pullum, Chris Snow, Donald Snow, Johnnie Hodge, Jeff Snow, and Ronney Dale Hodge. Honorary bearers are: Tim C. Barber, Becky Reynolds, and Ronney Hodge.
