Norma Lynn (Hatfield) Fansler

April 13, 1937 ~ January 26, 2018 (age 80)

Norma Lynn Hatfield Fansler, 80, of Stanford, KY, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Weeki Wachee, FL . She was born April 13, 1937 in Lancaster, KY to the late Walker and Mary Mae Poynter. She was the widow to the late Herb Fansler. Our Precious Norma Hatfield Fansler has passed on from this world. Beloved mother, sister, aunt, nanna, and gg will be missed greatly from our lives. She enriched so many of us over the course of her life. Dedicated and a hard worker at everything she did. She was an awesome cook, an artist of cake decorating, a sweet caregiver, and the list goes on and on. She was a great storyteller and knowledgeable of history around us. A beautiful person inside and out, she had a love for plants and nature. She loved her family, camping, and everything outdoors. Norma also loved her religion that she shared with many close friends that were like her second family. She is survived by one daughter, Connie Trammell (Calvin) of Weekiwachee, FL; one brother, Walter Poynter (Ruby) of Florida; four sisters, Zada Diane Boyd (Kinnaird) of Stanford, KY, Addie Stroxtile (Jim) of Stanford, KY, Ruby Carol Woodall (Gene) of Crab Orchard, KY, Hattie  Zaba Grant (David) of Lancaster, KY; two grandchildren, Shawna Meadors and Ronnie Renner; and six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlette Hatfield; Norma was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walker Poynter Jr. “Boots” and Willie Dee Poynter. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Funeral will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
