Raymond Lee Hacker, 73, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017. Born September 26, 1943 in Beardstown, IL to the late Clarence A. Hacker and Marion Roe Hacker, he worked as an industrial sprinkler system installer for most of his life retiring from National Automatic Industrial. Survivors include seven children; Sherri Hacker of Florida, David Hacker (Kristel) of West Point, VA, and Angela Hacker of Chicago, IL, Steven Hacker of New Port News, VA, Sean Hacker (Viridiana) of Chesapeake, VA, Sarai Graves (Tyler), and Laura Hernandez (Jason) both of Greenville, SC, four brothers; Roy Hacker (Darlene) of Blue Mound, IL, Benny Hacker (Pat) of Bendl, IL, Charles Hacker (Diana) of Tyler, TX, and Roscoe Hacker of Anna, IL, Samuel E. Hacker (Louise) of Chicago, Il, one sister; Donna Austin (Kenneth) of Hustonville, KY, fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; Samuel E. Hacker and one sister; Donna Ray Phillips. A one day service has been scheduled for Saturday, September 2, 2017 at New Salem Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10am-2pm with funeral service beginning at 2pm. Brother Gary Morris will officiate the service with interment following at New Salem Cemetery. Spurlin Funeral Home, Stanford is in charge of the arrangements.
