Bonita “Bo” Ray, 57, of Stanford, KY passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at home. Born October 4, 1962 in Ashland, KY to Doris Alcorn of Ashland, KY and the late James Ronald Alcorn, Sr., she was an employee of Hitachi, Inc. for many years and was currently an employee of Lexington Surgeons. She loved her family and grandchildren, was a constant servant, and loved helping others in need. She was also a member of Lancaster First Assembly Church in Lancaster, KY. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 39 years, Greg Ray of Stanford, KY; two daughters, Jessica Berry (Steve) of Stanford, KY, and Missy Southerland (Drew) of Hustonville, KY; two brothers, James Alcorn, Jr. (Lois) of Prospect, KY, and Joe Alcorn of Ashland, KY; two sisters, Robin Arrowood (Bill) of Cynthiana, KY, and Rhonda Sebach (Gary) of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Wyatt Southerland of Hustonville, KY, and Avery and Grady Berry both of Stanford, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Jim England officiating the service. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY.
Casket bearers will be: Steve Berry, Drew Southerland, Robert England, Kenneth England, Joe Alcorn, and Jamie Alcorn. Honorary bearers are: Joey Alcorn, Chad Mcleod, Jared England, and Tra Alcorn.
