Flossie Mae Saylor Manuel, 89, of Danville, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born April 6, 1930 in Harlan, KY to the late Elihu and Aretha Hopkins Saylor, she was the widow of the late James Edward Manuel, and worked as a homemaker for most of her life. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers, enjoyed quilting and sewing, and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Manuel (Susie) of Waynesburg, KY; three daughters, Carolyn Roberts (Eddie) of Waynesburg, KY, Judy Robbins of Richmond, KY, and Colleen Reynolds (Larry) of Danville, KY; one brother, Robert Saylor of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and was expecting her first great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kevin Manuel; a great-great-grandchild, Maddison Manuel; and nine siblings, Ruby Saylor, Elbert Saylor, Worley Saylor, Hurble Saylor, Edward Leon Saylor, Clifford Saylor, Ron Saylor, Frances Saylor, and Pauline Saylor. A one day service has been scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm with funeral service beginning at 1pm. Reverend Dan Gutenson will officiate and burial will follow at Saylor Cemetery in Crab Orchard, KY. Casket bearers are: Dwayne King, Chris Shelton, Derek Manuel, Jon Beach, Cole Shelton, and DVM Kevin Pettit.
