Michael Dale Coulter, 53, of Stanford, KY passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at University of Louisville Hospital. Born in Danville, KY on December 23, 1965 to the late Raymond Stevenson and the late Fredia Coulter Stevenson. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Stanford, KY. He had worked for Williams Food Service, Ad Mart, and most recently at Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, KY. Michael was an avid fisherman, gardner and Kentucky Wildcat fan. He also loved his chickens. Most importantly, Michael loved his family.
Survivors include; two daughters, Tionna Leavell Burchfield (Gerald Jr.) of Stanford, KY and Samantha Cheyenne Coulter of Stanford, KY; one brother, James Morgan Hodgens II of Stanford, KY; one sister Melissa Darlene Hodgens Whitis (Chris) of Stanford, KY; three grandchildren; Justice’ Burchfield, Raeleigha Burchfield and Layla Leavell; two special nieces, Kayla Michelle Coulter and Latisha Johnson; two special cousins, Robert “Boo” Coulter (Tammy) and Charles “Chucky” Coulter; two special aunts, Sue Coulter and Patty Coulter and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel and Sallie Coulter; step-father, James Morgan Hodgens; one brother, Cedrice Maurice Coulter; one uncle, Samuel Wayne Coulter and one special aunt, Regina Ballard.
A visitation will be on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stanford Baptist Church in Stanford, KY. Funeral will be on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Stanford Baptist Church in Stanford, KY with Rev. Robert Coulter, Rev. Jerry Wilkinson and Rev. Justin Carter officiating the service. Burial will follow at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Hubble, KY.
