Ned Norris Stickler, 80, of Stanford, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born October 4, 1937 in Casey County, KY to the late Louis and Jessie Edster Stickler. Ned was an avid fisherman and was also a local taxidermist, he was also a member of Crab Orchard Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ann Stickler of Stanford, KY; one son, Greg Stickler (Donna) of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Judy Goode of Ohio; two grandchildren, Brandon Stickler (Kim) and Sammy Stickler (Kelly); three step-grandchildren, Doug Hoskins, Deidra Hoskins, and Aaron Bond; and also several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Louis Edward Stickler Jr. and Ted Stickler. Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Roy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY. Pallbearers will be Jeff Stickler, Jamie Stickler, Tommy Sudduth, Pat Rice, Steve Rice, and Mark Singleton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Hoskins, Aaron Bond, Kevin Stevens, Ronnie Sims, and John Stevens. Spurlin Funeral Home, Stanford is in charge of the arrangements.
