Roger Carrier, 68, of McKinney, KY passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at home. Born October 8, 1950 in McKinney, KY to the late James Charles Carrier and Nellie Mae Naylor Carrier, he was a retired employee of both Whirlpool Inc. and Asplundh Tree Company, and a member of Green River Pentecostal Church. Roger enjoyed fishing and car shows and loved to aggravate his grandchildren. He was also a volunteer for the McKinney Fire Department where he served as Assistant Chief, and was a member of the McKinney Car Club. Survivors include his wife, Patty Carrier of McKinney, KY; three sons, James Carrier (Amy) of Waynesburg, KY, Kevin Carrier (Jenn), and Nathan Carrier both of McKinney, KY; one daughter, Hope Young (Troy) of McKinney, KY; three sisters, Betty Thompson of Lancaster, KY, Gail Sears and Brenda Gerkey both of McKinney, KY; nine grandchildren, Brookley Carrier, Maecey Carrier, Zachary Young, Makenna Young, Trinity Young, Riley Carrier, Xchyler Yellowwolf, Kaiser Carrier, and Jagger Carrier; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Carrier and Larry Carrier. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 5-9pm at Green River Pentecostal Church in McKinney, KY. Funeral service will be 1pm Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the church with Reverend Rick Naylor officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY. Casket bearers are: Mike Ruhe, Ivan Brown, Bobby King, Tim Tillett, Gary Coffman, Russell Brown, Bobby Wilcher, and Johnny Mack Brown. Honorary bearers will be: Larry Martin, Orlis Sparkman, Alphas Yocum, Ray Kersey, Otis Delk, Elroy Griffin, and his grandchildren.
