Bobby Sparkman

Bobby Sparkman, 79, of Stanford, KY passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Lexington, KY. Born on January 18, 1942 in Stanford, KY to the late Herbert Sparkman and the late Stella Collins Sparkman. He was the widower to the late Betty Kidd Sparkman. Bobby worked for Southern States, as Assistant Manager, for 30 years before his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed woodworking, mowing the yard and visiting with his friends in the Amish community.

Survivors include one son, Michael Sparkman (Karen) of Stanford, KY; one daughter, Rita Burchett (Larry) of Stanford, KY; one sister, Juanita Bates of Coeur d'Alene, ID; two grandchildren, Dena Collett (Jim Bob) and Trenton Burchett (Caitlin Long); two great-grandchildren, Bentley Collett and Easton Collett; and a step-brother, Bill Williams of Junction City, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sparkman; parents, Herbert and Stella Sparkman; brother, Roger Sparkman; grandson, Zachary Burchett; and a step-sister, Wanda Long.

A one-day service has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be held from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Hubble Cemetery in Stanford, KY.

Active Pallbearers are family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearer is Lester and Mary Wagler and family.
