Charles “Chuck” May, 74, of Stanford, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in Lexington, KY. Born on November 10, 1946 in Richmond, KY to the late Gerald and Lucille May. He was a graduate of Stanford High School and Eastern Kentucky University. Chuck owned and operated Mays Laundromat for many years as well as Dalton’s Café. He was also involved with Little League baseball for many years. Chuck loved his family and friends, but most of all he was passionate about the Lord Jesus Christ, who was the center of his life. He wanted everyone to experience the love of God that changed his life.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Holt May of Stanford, KY; one son, Jaeson May (Angela) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Dayna Godbey (Tim) of Stanford, KY; one step-son, Shane Harris (Aleisha) of Richmond, KY; one brother, Edward “Eddy” May (Colette) of Stanford, KY; five grandchildren, Dalton Godbey, Logan Johnson, Mayci Godbey, Maeson May and Aeden May; a step-grandson, Caiden McQueen; and a niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Lucille May.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
