Jimmy Horn

James “Jimmy” Ralph Horn II, 52, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Born on May 21, 1971 in Stanford to the late Ralph, Sr. and Lois James Horn. Jimmy was a heavy equipment operator and a mechanic for most of his life. He enjoyed being a mechanic, chevy trucks, his Duramax diesel he owned for over 20 years, and the sound of a Harley. He loved his family and hanging out with family and friends.

Survivors include Tammy Gooch Horn of Stanford; one son, Tyler Horn; one aunt, Frances Coulter; two brothers-in-law, Clayton Crowley and Johnny Gooch; two sisters-in-law, Pam Crowley and Carol Gooch; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lois Horn; maternal grandparents, Leo and Dora Nicely James; paternal grandparents, Truman and Viola Douglas Horn; two siblings (stillborn); and one uncle, Kenneth Horn.

A one-day service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Mike James and Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are Clayton Crowley, Robbie Boyd, Zeke Nantz, Ethan James, Kurt Lear, Jimmy Martin, Mark Neikirk and Michael Hubbard.

Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Robinson, Darrell Walls, William Smith, James Gooch, Jacob Rayborn, Cody Gooch and Todd Bowling.
