Jodie Clay “Boy” Hodge, 67, of Crab Orchard, KY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Born on April 3, 1954 in Hustonville, KY to Irene Hodge and the late Kelly Freeman Hodge. He was a man of the outdoors. Clay enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working on cars. He loved his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as if they were his own. He loved his momma dearly. He was a farmer for most of his life and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his mother, Irene Hodge; five brothers, Bobby Hodge, James Hodge (Josephine), Joey Hodge, Ronney Hodge (Gloria) and Herbert Hodge (Renda); two sisters, Violet Hodge and Gladys Snow; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Nikki, Bammy, Kellye, Brooklyn, Owen “Bub”, Ethan, Austin “Buddy” and several other nieces and nephews; grandnieces, Alycia, Jordyn, Mary, Jaycee, Julianne “Turkey”, Wynter; and several other grandnieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kelly Hodge and sister, Sandy Pullum; two brothers, Johnnie Lewis Hodge and Freeman Ray Hodge; and a special niece Mary Smith.
A one-day service has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral service being held at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Carson Atwood will be officiating followed by burial at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Crab Orchard, KY.
Pallbearers are Sarah, Nikki, Bammy, Kellye, Brooklyn, Ethan and Violet.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bub, Jeff, Travis, Johnnie, Ronney and Gladys.
