Margie Carol Meadows Fields, 84, of Burnside, KY passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2021 in Somerset, KY. Born on October 30, 1936 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Lester and Mollie Smith Meadows. She was the widow to the late Weaver Fields. Margie enjoyed quilting, canning and flowers. She loved her church and reading scripture. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Fields (Leslie) of Burnside, KY and Ernie Lawson of Burnside, KY; two daughters, Robin Elaine Bruin of Nancy, KY and Melissa Feyka; one step-daughter, Carlene Taphorn (Dave) of Ohio; one brother, Lester Meadows, Jr. (Shirley) of Geneva, KY; one sister, Mary Catherine Thatcher of Tennessee; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weaver “Red” Fields; parents, Lester and Mollie Smith Meadows; one son, Edward Earl Lawson; one brother, Albert Meadows; two sisters, Delores Naylor and Patsy Parker; and two grandchildren, Angela Sue Lawson and Edward Earl Lawson, Jr.
A one-day service has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Tate Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Dale Fields, Kevin Hayes, Rick Naylor, Donovan Fields, Danny Worley and Scotty Fields.
