Mary Jo (Foster) Martin

Mary Jo Foster Martin, 73, of Monticello, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born on March 19, 1948 in Monticello, KY to the late Estle Foster and Gladys Corder McDonald. Mary Jo enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and most of all her being with her family. She was a very loving person who took care of many family members during their final days. She was a member of Clay Hill Baptist Church in Monticello, KY.

Survivors include one son, Steve Martin (Melissa) of Stanford, KY; one daughter, Connie Gunterman (Chad) of Parksville, KY; two brothers, Dan Foster of Hyden, KY and Wayne McDonald (Tina) of Monticello, KY; four grandchildren, Holly Gunterman (Jered Engle), Haley Gunterman, Cody Westerfield (Abra Kirkpatrick) and Alexis Banks; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Engle, Madelyn Westerfield, Gage Banks, Tiegan Brown and Iverson Brown; three special nieces, Janie Wells, Amanda Stites and Devona Coffey; one special nephew, Rodney Watters; and several more nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Estle Foster and Gladys Corder McDonald; one son, Jason Martin; two brothers, Roger Foster and Dwight Foster; and two sisters, Barbara Cox and Alma Sue Watters

Visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
