Obituary
Maxine Griffin Scharbrough, 74, of Stanford, KY passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation. Born on August 14, 1948 in Stanford to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Martin Griffin. She is the widow to the late John Scharbrough. She was a homemaker for most of her life and of the Pentecostal Faith. She enjoyed front porch sitting, watching movies and her favorite show, Heartland, and being around her family. She loved her grandson dearly.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Foley (Wayne) of Stanford; one grandson, Jacob Wayne Foley; four siblings, Gladys Naylor, Eddie Griffin, Martha Padgett and Freda Coleman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Scharbrough; parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Griffin; and six siblings, Gracie Phillips, Jack Griffin, Bill Griffin, Vernon Griffin, Millard “Doodle” Griffin and Barbara Foley.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
