Obituary

Michelle Burton Edwards, 47, of Stanford, KY passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at UK Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born on September 7, 1974 in Columbia, KY to Ralph and Peggy Smith Burton. Michelle was an assistant at Lincoln County Pre-School. She loved animals and working with children. She enjoyed working with her church family and being a pastor’s wife. She was a member of Stanford Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Buford Edwards II of Stanford; parents, Ralph and Peggy Burton; two sons, Micah Smith and Mason Smith, both of Stanford; three brothers, Edwin Burton (Angie) of Murfreesboro, TN, Michael Burton (Krystal) of Campbellsville, KY and Travis Burton (Pam) of Liberty, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation has been scheduled for Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stanford Church of the Nazarene. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Stanford Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Dennis Hasty officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are Edwin Burton, Travis Burton, Michael Burton, Micah Smith, Chase Smith and Neil Silverthorn.

Honorary Pallbearers are Co-workers at Lincoln County Pre-School and Stanford Nazarene Church Family.
