Monine Major Graham, 79, of Stanford, KY passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. Born on August 2, 1941 in Garrard County to the late Montelle Major and Mary Alice Vanderpool Major. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Monine enjoyed painting, collecting antiques and loved her family dearly. She was a member of Stanford Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Leland Graham of Stanford, KY; one son, Barry Graham (Mandy) of Junction City, KY; one daughter, Julie Hale (Dennis) of Hustonville, KY; two brothers, Bill Major (Rilda) and Ray Mac Jonica (Kathy); one sister, Sonya Helton; one sister-in-law, Nancy Major; six grandchildren, Nathan Hale, Haydon Hale, Abby Hale, Jolee Hale, Olivia Grace Graham and Madison Lee Graham; two step-grandchildren, Caylie Allen Young and Cooper Johnson; special friends, Helen Doyle, Teri Arn, Brenda Caudill and member of her Bible Study group; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Montelle and Mary Major, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Major; and a brother-in-law, Vernon Helton.
A one-day service has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Bro. Brent Baker officiating. Private family burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Funeral and Graveside services will be broadcasted live under Spurlin Funeral Home's Facebook Page.
Graveside services at Camp Nelson National Cemetery are open to the public under the circumstances that individuals remain in their vehicles. There will be a select few family members that will be able to attend services at the shelter.
Pallbearers are Nathan Hale, Haydon Hale, Dennis Hale, Russ Arn, Steven Sherrow and Jason Major.
Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Doyle, Kerry Major, Mitchell Major, Monty Major, Roger Major and Ricky Major.
Due to Covid-19 rules and regulations, all individuals attending services will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
