Pastor Oliver David Miller, Jr.

Pastor Oliver David Miller, Jr., 75, of Stanford, KY passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Born on October 14, 1947 in Stanford to the late Oliver “Dooley”, Sr. and Oline Patton Miller. He was the Pastor at First Baptist Church in Crab Orchard, KY and was also a member of The Lion’s Club. Oliver enjoyed watching westerns and loved to watch the Kentucky Wildcats.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Miller; four sons, Oliver David Miller III (Shana) of Lexington, KY, Germaine Miller (Destini) of Danville, KY, Ansarro Miller of Stanford and Steve Smith of Lexington; four daughters, Sonya Miller of Lexington, Niesha Miller of Lexington, Shatia Napier (Maurice) of Stanford and Jordana Harris (Randy) of Tennessee; four siblings, George Miller (Priscilla), Wanda Bartleston (James), Beverly Miller and Danetta Miller; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver “Dooley”, Sr. and Oline Miller; and three siblings, Robert Paul Miller, Olivia Coffman and Esther Miller.

A one-day service has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Boneyville Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Robert Coulter, Jr. and Elder Chris Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery in Stanford.

Active Pallbearers are Dexter Gooch, Sidney Alcorn, Timmy Alcorn, Daniel Gooch, Bill Dowing and Elmer David Miller.

Honorary Pallbearers are Glenn Gooch, Joe Logan, Oneith Fitzgerald, Brad Helm, Lowell Givens and Gary Johnson.
