Sue C. Lowry, 83, of Stanford, KY went home to the Lord on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born on July 27, 1937 in Georgetown, KY to the late Asa Glass Perry, Jr. and the late Rozena Humphrey Perry, she was the widow of the late Rev. John Lowry, Jr.
Together, John and Sue served churches in Casey County, Lincoln County, Washington County and Madison, Indiana. She was a dedicated minister's wife and spent much time working in the church in any capacity needed. Sue was an avid reader and loved sewing and crafting. She worked for many years as a Bookkeeper and retired from Visumatic Industrial Products in Lexington.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Waldroup (Rod) of Stanford, KY; one daughter-in-law, Sherry Lowry of Louisville, KY; one brother, Jim Perry of Williston, FL; one sister, Peggy Honley of Georgetown, KY; four grandchildren, Heather (Eddy) Waldroup Demarcus, Ryan (Amanda) Waldroup, Michelle (Thomas) Lowry Mindel and Trent Lowry; four great-grandchildren, Harper Demarcus, Ed Demarcus, William Demarcus and Adalynn Waldroup; one sister-in-law, Nora Feedback; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Lowry, Jr.; parents, Asa and Rozena Perry; one son, Robert Lowry and one brother, Glenn Perry.
Visitation has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral has been rescheduled for Monday, February 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Bro. Rick Lowry officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Christian Church Cemetery in Highland, KY.
Active Pallbearers are Ryan Waldroup, Trent Lowry, Eddy Demarcus, Thomas Mindel, Sam Gay and Jimmy Perry.
Due to Covid-19, all individuals attending services will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
