Welby Lee Hamm, 76, of Stanford, KY passed away on Monday, February 2, 2021 at home. Born on July 8, 1944 in Liberty, Kentucky to the late Vaughn Hamm and Zettie Patten Hamm. Welby worked as an automotive salesman for 33 years at Kent Automotive before his retirement. He was a member of South Fork Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for many years.
He is survived by one son, Wendell Hamm (LeeAnne) of Frankfort, KY; one brother, J.R. Hamm (Brenda) of Stanford, KY; two sisters, Wanda Barrett of Stanford, KY and Joyce Mitchell of Waynesburg, KY; two grandchildren, Taylor Hamm and Kelsey Hamm; special friends, Carlos and Bertie Riggs, Jimmy Sheron and Bob Reeves; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarett Hamm and his parents, Vaughn and Zettie Hamm
A one-day service has been scheduled for Friday, February 5, 2021. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Andrew McGinnis officiating.
Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.
Pallbearers are Mike Greer, Bobby Hasty, Troy Hamm, Rodney Floyd, Junior Floyd and Darren Barrett.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bob Reeves, Carlos and Bertie Riggs, Jimmy Sheron and Kathy “Kitten” Hastie.
